#Recommendation: Super useful conversation between @lessig and Tristan Harris about #SocialMedia, #Policy, #AI, and the #AlignmentProblem, and how risks and failures there are likely to shape things to come.

In the talk above (about #AI's and #ChatGPT's #AlignmentProblem), Harris mentions another presentation he gave in March.

This is the one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoVJKj8lcNQ

He talks about how we handle AI being a "Civilizational Right of Passage Moment".

He's very nice about it! Too nice, maybe.

How about just calling it our next "Great Filter Moment" instead? 😐

it works, I think you missed an at behind the exclamation point.

Loving SawyerX's talk about abuse in #OpenSouce communities, with some of his experiences as pumpking in the #Perl project.

Highly recommended 50 minutes, relevant for anyone who cares about community #Sustainability and well-being.

The #Perl and #RakuLang #Conference in #Toronto has started, and videos are already tricking down to their YouTube channel.

Looking forward to following great #OpenSource talks all the way from #Canada! 😁

@raku Thinking about #RakuLang content on a fediverse-replacement for reddit.

Then I see https://kbin.social/m/raku exists! Sweet!

Anyone around who wants to hang out there? 🙂

I haven’t invested the time to figure out what would be required to do so?

@colomon create a user, I think? Though the mods of a couple of these are looking into consolidating their efforts into one place, so it's probably ok to wait a little?

Awesome conversation With @davidmcraney (of "You Are Not So Smart" and "How Minds Change" fame) about persuasion, #DeepCanvassing, #StreetEpistemology and the things that need to be in place for people change their minds.

Very useful, and I love that he's still sharing his findings, and even finding additional relevant studies to share.
